Update...
So after my 2 days spent in Dallas. I drove down to the delivery point and spent the night. I had a Noon appointment but rolled in there around 8AM thinking i might be able to get out early. And the answer is... a big NOPE. So i sat there and talked to the workers on the dock all morning. They got me unloaded and I asked for another load. I thought it might be a little considering there was 3 other Con-way trucks there but I got a load right away. Drove down to Houston and picked that load up and headed out. This is a good load 830 miles deliver 8AM on the 7th. So by the time i got loaded up and took off it was late afternoon. I was all ready tiered, i guess i didn't sleep to well the night before. I did a little over 200 miles pulled in a truck stop to get me a cup of coffee and then just ended up shutting it down for the night. Realistically I should have done some more miles last night but I was just to tiered. I have drove a couple times when I probably shouldn't have been and it isn't a good idea. I have yet to have a late load, but it isn't worth killing yourself over or more importantly anyone else. So I took my ten hour and headed out. Did 352 miles took a 15min cookie break and then another 215. It was raining all day from LA to GA. Right before GA the CB lite up and everyone was talking about a tornado hitting on I-20 mm 193-205. OK let me find a mile maker... 189? OK no problem. I ask where the next truck stop?... 185 is the last one? OK... so I just past the last exit and you are telling me i am headed right into a tornado? OK so I quickly arrange the interior of the truck for white knuckle drive mode. Radio off, CB on low, seat back up, arm rests up, both hands on the wheel. The rain was unbelievable, 4 wheelers are pulling off onto the shoulder and the proverbial "shit was hitting the fan". It wasn't as bad as it could of been. Such as the wooze and his load spread out over a 2 mile area, but it did suck. As soon as you got threw it, it was nice on the other side. The rain stopped the roads were wet but no uncharted rivers like earlier. So it was exciting. So right now I am outside of Atlanta maybe 80 miles i guess. All i have to do now is get my ass out of bed around 5am and get rolling. I deliver only 60 miles away but with traffic and about 40 of that on county roads I want to make sure I get there is time. I should get a load fairly quickly tomorrow being right out side Atlanta. Plus Herb (our president of Con-way) said that we just got a few big contracts that just became active so miles will improve!!!!! So, hopefully they will find it in their heart to send a few bucks out of those million dollar contracts the woozes way.

Rollin' again.
So yesterday I didn't do to much. Dropped the trailer and headed over to the flyin' J and grab a meal. Then bought some movies from some chick in an SUV. And that's all I have been doing today is watching those. The new Adam Sandler movie was really good, and I normally don't like his stuff. Other than that I got the truck washed and they did a really nice job. Even dropped the extra $8.50 to get the motor done, which the company won't pay me back for, but that's OK, i guess. Now I am going to spend the rest of the day alternating between movie watching and cleaning the inside of the truck. the exciting life... I might headed out tonight and get to my delivery point. I have a Noon appointment but am hope they will take me early. I guess we will find out.

Made it to TX!!!!!
Now this is more like it. 79 Degrees, low humidity and a slight cool breeze. I just got into our Dallas Terminal. The delivery point is only 160 miles away and I don't have to be there until the 5th at noon. There is a lot of drivers down here looking for loads so it looks like I am going to have to wait and take this one in myself. At least I got down here quick enough that I will get layover pay for sitting so long. Now I just have to find something fun to do while hanging out. I am not really sure why i am in such a good mood. it must be the weather. Because with all the sitting around I have been doing lately not making any coin, another 2 days of it would normally piss me off, but I'm kinda not pissed off. Not happy about it, but not pissed either. Maybe this load helped also, because at least I got to stretch out a little and run some miles. I did about 500 miles both yesterday and today. Tx is a fun state to drive in. I actually have bug guts on the windshield, which hasn't happened in a long time and proud to say whacked a bumble bee during lunch that was trying to stow away in the truck. Normally I would appreciate any sort of company out here on the road, but Pooh Bear is allergic to bee stings so unfortunately Mr. bee had to die. I am just that kinda guy that would risk his well being for a stuffed companion. Well that's all for now.
